Dr. Chan believes that every patient should get quality evidence-based whole-person care. She believes in not only caring for medical problems and maintaining wellness of the body, but is also interested in maintaining and caring for the mental, emotional, and spiritual health of her patients. This is achieved by incorporating patient education, caring compassion, and even optional prayer into patient care, as well as whatever else is necessary to care for her patients as whole people.
Dr. Chan is kind, listens well, and is well-loved by many patients. She enjoys making relationships with her patients and seeing them back year after year for continuity of care. She is sensitive to gender identity issues, and issues that arise from a history of trauma or abuse, and welcomes all these patients into her practice. She is a great teacher to her patients, explains things well, and welcomes patients who wish to understand their own bodies and conditions better. In particular, she is enjoys providing contraception counseling and management, and quality obstetrical care throughout pregnancy, including labor and delivery.
